Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning(MSIP) chose 'Korea - Saudi Arabia SMART Technology Export (by KAERI, Kim Keung-Koo) as one of the top 14 projects among 54,000 nationally supported R&D projects in 2016. These top 14 researchers (or organizations) will receive ministerial awards.

Hong Namki, the 1st Vice Minister, said "the expansion of the Governmental R&D investment has been followed by significant research ressults", and "the Government will keep supporting and renovating national R&D projects to be developed as successful business"
