[영국 상용원전 동향] Hinkley Point C gets go-ahead for construction (WNN)

영국 규제기관 ONR은 2017년 3월 28일 Hinkley Point C 신규 원전 건설 착수를 위한 First Consent를 허여한다고 발표하였습니다.

동 허여는 Somerset 부지에 최초의 원자력 안전관련 구조물 (Technical Galleries)을 위한 콘크리트 타설이 가능하다는 의미입니다만 건설 전반에 걸친 허가를 의미하지는 않는다고 합니다. 통상 원전 건설 착수는 원자로 Basement 콘크리트 타설 일자를 기준으로 합니다. (Hinkley point C 원전의 경우는 2019년에 타설 예정)

참고로 EPR 노형에 대한 GDA는은 2012년 12월에 완료하였습니다.

Hinkley Point C gets go-ahead for construction

The UK's Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) has granted its first consent for the start of construction of a nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point C. The consent covers the placement of the structural concrete for the first nuclear safety-related structure at the site. It does not give consent for all elements of construction.
