[미국 SMR동향] NuScale Power, US-NRC에 DC 신청

미국 NuScale Power사는 2016년 1월 12일 US-NRC에 자사의 FOAK SMR에 대한 설계인가신청서를 제출할 예정이라고 발표하였습니다.

 

동사 관계자는 금번 12,000페이지 분량의 신청서 제출이 인허가 과정에 있어서 매우 중요한 단계이며 자사의 첨단 원자력기술이 미국 Idaho National Laboratory 내 부지에 최초의 원전을 상업화하고 건설되도록 하는 계기가 될 것이라고 언급하였습니다.

NuScale Power said yesterday it will submit the design certification application for its 'first-of-kind' small modular reactor to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission on 12 January. "The 12,000-page NRC submission is a vital step in the certification process, which will move NuScale Power's advanced nuclear technology closer to commercialization and construction of the first plant at a site on the Idaho National Laboratory," the Oregon-based company said.
