[영국 상용원전 동향] South Korea's KEPCO in talks for stake in UK nuclear project
현재 런던에서 열리고 있는 한 Industry Event에 참가 중인 한전 원전수출본부 박종혁 본부장과의 인터뷰를 바탕으로 작성한 로이터 기사입니다.
도시바와 NuGen 지분 인수협상이 잘 진행되면 한전에서는 APR-1400으로 건설할 것이고, 그렇게 되면 당초 도시바가 예상한 상업운전 개시시점(2025년)보다 지연된 2027~2028년에 상업운전 개시될 것으로 전망하고 있습니다. 왜냐하면 WEC의 AP1000은 2017년 3월에 GDA를 완료한 반면, APR1400은 2018년 초 GDA를 신청할 계획이고 약 4년 정도 소요되기 때문입니다.
박 본부장에 따르면, 최근 국내의 탈원전 정책과는 무관하게 해외원전 수출정책은 그대로 존속된다고 합니다.
P.S. 이러한 말에 해외의 원전 바이어들이 얼마나 신뢰할 지 개인적으로 궁금합니다. 왜냐면 해외원전사업의 경우에도 아국 정부의 관심과 지원이 절대적으로 필요하기 때문이죠.
